Adding Mandatory Quantities to Categories

You can add quantities to your categories for more accurate reporting.

A new enhancement allows you to add mandatory quantities to categories within the Manage > Categories section. This feature provides greater control and precision over your event data.

By recording the number of occurrences for specific incident types, you can now capture more detailed insights. For example, if you log ejections during an event, you can specify whether it involved one person or multiple individuals, giving you a clearer picture of each situation.

How to Enable Mandatory Quantities

  1. Go to Manage > Categories.

  2. For any active category, locate the Requires Quantity tab on the right-hand side.

  3. Select this tab to activate a pop-up window whenever that category is chosen while creating or editing an issue.

  4. When prompted, enter a quantity between 1 and 99.

Viewing and Reporting Quantities

All recorded category quantities are visible directly on your dashboard, allowing quick access and easier event analysis.

To include these details in your reports:

  1. Go to Manage > Report Templates.

  2. Add a Dashboard Component Field.

  3. Select Category Quantities to display this data in your report output.

This enhancement improves the accuracy and depth of your event reporting, helping you gain a more complete understanding of activity across your logs.
