Configuration of Priorities Against Categories
Properly categorizing and prioritizing issues is vital for understanding the severity and type of incident that is occurring. Different team members may perceive severity differently depending on their role or department, which can lead to discrepancies in prioritization. Raven provides functionality to automatically assign priorities based on category to help maintain consistency.
Set automatic priority by category

Navigate to Manage > Categories.

Select the category you want to configure.

Assign a Priority to that category.

Priority levels indicate the severity of issues (e.g., 1 = highest, 5 = lowest).

When a category is selected within an issue, the assigned priority will automatically apply.
Adjust priority manually

If a situation escalates or requires a different level of urgency, the Priority can be updated manually within the issue at any time.
