DeDrone Integration

The DeDrone integration allows Raven to receive drone detection alerts directly from the DeDrone platform using secure webhooks. When a configured alert is triggered, Raven automatically creates an issue containing the detection details, helping operators respond quickly to potential drone activity. The integration supports configurable alert types, detection methods, and classification ratings, allowing organizations to control which drone detections are sent to Raven.

To configure the integration:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Integrations.
  2. Select DeDrone.
  3. Enter the webhook URL provided by Raven into the DeDrone platform.
  4. Configure the alert types you want Raven to receive.
  5. Select the detection types to monitor.
  6. Choose the classification rating threshold for drone detections.
  7. Save your configuration.

Once configured, qualifying DeDrone alerts are automatically sent to Raven and created as Issues.

How It Works

When DeDrone detects drone activity that matches your configured settings, it sends the alert to Raven using a secure webhook.

Raven automatically creates an Issue containing the detection information, allowing operators to review the event and respond appropriately.

Information Included on an Issue

Each Issue created from a DeDrone alert can include information such as:

  • Detection time
  • Drone identification (where available)
  • Detection type
  • Alert type
  • Classification rating
  • Location information
  • Additional metadata supplied by DeDrone

This gives operators a complete timeline of the detection directly within Raven.

Alert Types

Alert types determine which detections are sent to Raven.

For example, alert types can include:

  • Alert – High-priority detections within restricted areas.
  • Friend – Authorized or known aircraft.
  • Warning – Lower-priority detections that can be disabled if required.

The available alert types depend on your DeDrone configuration.

Detection Types

Detection types define how the drone was identified.

Available detection methods include:

  • Radio Frequency (RF)
  • Radar
  • Remote ID
  • Optical
  • Acoustic

You can choose which detection methods should generate Issues in Raven.

Classification Ratings

Classification ratings help determine which drone detections should generate Issues.

You can configure Raven to receive detections that meet or exceed a selected confidence threshold.

Available classification ratings are:

  • Low
  • Medium
  • High

Higher classification ratings help reduce false positives by filtering lower-confidence drone detections.

Drone and Operator Detection

The integration supports both drone detections and operator (remote controller) detections.

Classification ratings are only applied to drone detections. Operator (remote controller) detections are not filtered using classification ratings.

Security

Communication between DeDrone and Raven uses a secure webhook.

Key Considerations
  • The integration automatically creates Raven Issues when configured DeDrone alerts are received.
  • Detection details are recorded within the Issue to support incident management.
  • Classification ratings help filter drone detections before they are sent to Raven.
  • Detection methods and alert types can be configured to suit your operational requirements.
  • The available alert types and detection information depend on the data provided by DeDrone.
