Updating and Escalating Issues in Raven

Issues in Raven are designed to be fully editable throughout their lifecycle, allowing teams to respond effectively as situations evolve or escalate. As new information becomes available, users can update issue details in real time to ensure records remain accurate, actionable, and aligned with the current operational context.

This flexibility supports dynamic incident management while maintaining a complete audit trail of every action taken.

What can be updated within an issue

At any point after creation, users can edit an issue to reflect changing circumstances, including:

  • Updating the Issue Title to better describe the situation.

  • Changing the Log if the issue was created under the wrong event or venue.

  • Adding or updating Locations as the situation develops.

  • Updating the Status to reflect progress or escalation.

  • Adjusting the Priority if severity increases or decreases.

  • Changing or adding Categories, including Category Quantities where enabled.

  • Adding or updating Notification Groups to escalate the issue to additional teams or management.

  • Adding Tasks to assign actions and track completion.

  • Adding additional descriptions, comments, or situational updates as new information is received.

  • Uploading media such as photos or videos to support ongoing assessment.

These updates ensure the issue always reflects the most current understanding of the situation.

Escalation and accountability

As an issue escalates, notification groups can be added to ensure the appropriate stakeholders are alerted. Tasks can be created or reassigned to maintain clear accountability and ensure required actions are completed within expected timeframes.
